About Me

I am a master's student in Data Engineering and Analytics with a focus on Computer Vision at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), fully funded by DAAD.
I am currently completing my master's thesis on 3D Object Detection using Gaussian Splatting within the Computer Vision Group led by Prof. Daniel Cremers. I am also working as a Computer Vision Student Researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems (IKS), where I focus on multimodal 3D perception, sensor fusion, and robust real-time person detection for robotics. I graduated from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in June 2022 with a B.S. in Computer Science, fully funded through the Tomorrow's Leaders Program. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout my academic path, I have worked as a Student Researcher at both AUB and TUM, and as a Data Scientist at Infineon Technologies.

News & Activities

January 2026: I officially completed my Master’s degree after submitting my thesis at the Computer Vision Group, titled “3D Object Detection Using Gaussian Splatting from Multi-View Images,” and received a grade of 1.0.
December 2025: My first authored paper entitled "A Comparative Study of 3D Person Detection: Sensor Modalities and Robustness in Diverse Indoor and Outdoor Environments" has been accepted as a full paper with an oral presentation at VISAPP 2026 in Marbella, Spain. November 2025: I was selected to attend the MenaML Winter School 2026 in KAUST, Saudi Arabia, where I will be presenting a poster of my master's thesis work on 3D Object Detection Using Gaussian Splatting from Multi-View Images.
September 2025: I contributed to a paper submitted by our team at Fraunhofer IKS to ICRA 2026.
July 2025: I attended the Eastern European Machine Learning Summer School in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
February 2025: I was selected with full funding to attend the MenaML Winter School in Doha, Qatar, where I presented a poster on 3D Object Detection using camera and 4D radar. You can learn more about my experience and learnings and view my poster here.
January 2025: I have started my master's thesis research internship at Professor Daniel Cremers' Group at TUM and BAIR, UC Berkeley.
January 2025: I completed the Guided Research Project at TUM on 3D Object Detection Using Camera and 4D Radar with a grade of 1.0.
April 2024: I have started my research internship with Professor Gerhard Rigoll's Group at TUM, working on 3D object detection.
October 2023: I have started my Computer Vision research internship with Dr. Federico Tombari's lab as a part of 3D Computer Vision Praktikum at TUM. Final Presentation can be found here.
July 2023: I gave a presentation as part of the 3D Machine Learning Seminar at TUM, in which I provided a summary and an explanation of the paper "Learning Neural Parametric Head Models (NPHM)". I received a grade of 1.0 for my presentation. Report here.
April 2023: I have started my three-month contract at Infineon Technologies in collaboration with TUM.ai.
